On February 14, 2009, The Artists Own Gallery will feature artisan cupcakes made by noted Washington DC cupcake-maker Danielle Buckley. This is a wonderful opportunity to get some original artwork, fill it with 2 or 4 lavish and tasty cupcakes, perhaps some jewelry as well, and leave the store ready to please your beloved.
Danielle Buckley will be making cupcakes in a variety of flavors: Black Forest Cherry, Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Lemon Berry, and Cinnamon Crunch. She has made cupcakes for such Washington DC area notables including Wolf Blitzer’s daughter’s wedding. Her cupcakes are crafted from scratch, and topped with colorful, textured, flavorful frostings (her specialty). The Artists Own artists will be making original artworks for the occasion, including trays for the cupcakes, cups, jewelry, wearables, 2D prints and paintings, and much more. In addition, 10% of the cost for the cupcakes will be donated to the American Heart Association. It is a multi-layered gift opportunity! Artists Own also has original art cards to accompany this wonderful offering. It’s a “3-fer” --- a lasting gift, a scrumptious dessert, and a donation to a worthy cause --- that should please the intended.
In addition, for those who make a purchase, there will be 2 door prize opportunities. First, a friend of Artists Own has offered a ½ hour driving tour in one of his vintage limousines for a lucky couple (to be arranged later). Second, the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra is offering 2 tickets to the “Quiet Heroes” musical and narrative performance featuring Chris Brubeck, jazz composer, and Wilford Brimley, narrator, on Saturday, March 28 at 7:30 PM.

"HEART OF HELEN" FASHION SHOW
Door will open at 6:30 p.m. at University Plaza in West Lafayette. The event will showcase local fashions including clothing by Artists' Own, members Anita Krug and Cyndy Clauss. Models include artist and AO member, LaDonna Vohar.
